What is the inverse of the function f(x) = x – 12?

Let's rewrite it as y = x - 12

To find inverse, you switch x and y and solve for y.
So you have x = y - 12
x + 12 = y

Now rewrite y as f(x).
The inverse is f(x) = x +12
