Put y = -4 into the expression below:

[tex]y^2-7y+2[/tex]

Hence,

[tex]\begin{gathered} y^2-7y+2=(-4)^2-7(-4)+2 \\ =16+28+2 \\ =46 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Therefore, the value of the expression when y = -4 is 46
