The frescoes of Michelangelo became more dynamic and expressive as a result of the work of Leonardo. Michelangelo's work changed even though the two great artists did not like each other and were bitter rivals. Da Vinci also inspired other High Renaissance painters, such as Raphael (1483-1520).
