Find the equation of a line perpendicular to y - 12 = 2x – 8 that passes through the point (2, 3). (answer in slope-intercept form)

Hello,

The slope of y-12=2x-8 is 2 thus the perpendicular will have as slope -1/2

y-3=-1/2(x-2)
or y=-x/2 + 4 is the equation searched.
