Solve the absolute value equation. |6x – 1| + 4 = 1

|6x – 1| + 4 = 1

isolate the absolute value

subtract 4 from each side

|6x – 1| + 4-4 = 1-4

|6x – 1|  = -3

There are no solutions since absolute value means always positive and the other side is negative
